13-Jul-2014 Blackbeard's Ghost

  • 1 1/2 oz orange juice
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz falernum
  • 1/2 oz apricot brandy
  • 1/2 oz dark Jamaican rum
  • 1 1/2 oz light rum
  • 2 Dashes Angostura bitters

Shake well with ice cubes. Pour unstrained into a doulble old-fashioned glass.

06-Jul-2014 151 Swizzle

WARNING!! This drink WILL kick your @ss if you're not careful! Don't be stupid with this one.

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 3 oz LEMON HART 151-proof Demerara rum
  • 2 Dashes Angostura bitters
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pernod (I substituted Pastis)
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • ground nutmeg

Put everything-- except nutmeg-- in a blender. Blend at high speed for 5 seconds. Pour unstrained into a pilsner glass adding ice to fill. Dust with nutmeg. Garnish with cinnamon stick (optional).

NOTE: Do NOT, NOT, NOT, NOT use Bacardi 151 for this drink. Use Lemon Hart or El Dorado. It MUST be a Demerara rum. Seriously, no Bacardi. This can't be stressed enough. If you can't find Lemon Hart or El Dorado 151 Demerara rum then skip this one.

  • 3 oz orange juice
  • 2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz passion fruit syrup
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 oz dark Jamaican rum (I substituted with Thomas Tew)
  • 1 1/2 oz Demerara rum
  • 1 oz light Puerto Rican rum
  • 2 1/2 cups ice

Blend at hight speed for up to 10 seconds. Pour unstrained into a large brandy snifter.

01-June-2014 Test Pilot

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz falernum
  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 3 oz dark Jamaican rum (I substituted with Appleton Estate)
  • 1.5 light Puerto Rican rum
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pernod (I substituted Pastis)
  • 2 cups ice

Blend at hight speed for five seconds. Pour unstrained into double rocks glass

11-May-2014 Marlin

  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 1 oz maraschino liqueur
  • 1 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1 oz blue Curacao
  • 2 oz amber Martinique rum
  • 2 oz light Puerto Rican rum

Shake with ice. Pour unstrained into a tall glass.
